Reverend Dawn S. Christopher
Before being formed in her mother’s womb, God sanctified and
ordained her a prophet to the nations. Dawn S. Christopher was
born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She is a wife, mother and
grandmother. Serving in ministry more than 30 years, she
initiates the fourth generation of family preachers. She
graduated from Temple University, with a Bachelor of Arts
degree in Communications, after which, she pursued and
received a Master of Divinity degree from the Eastern Baptist
Theological Seminary, now known as Palmer Theological
Seminary.
Reverend Christopher is the Pastor of Byrd’s AME Church in
Clayton, Delaware. She has served in various capacities of
ministry as Pastor, Assistant Pastor, Director of Women’s
Ministry, Dean, Biblical Instructor (Trinity Bible Institute
School of the Prophets) and Chaplain at the Delores J. Baylor
Women’s Correctional Institution in New Castle, Delaware.
She's worked extensively in the area of ministerial training and
development. Her ministry has been recognized by various community organizations. However, she attributes all of her abilities to the knowledge and understanding of Zechariah 4:6 “Not by might, nor by power, but by my Spirit, says the Lord of hosts.”
Reverend Dawn S. Christopher is the Founder/CEO of New Dawn Ministries International, Inc., a ministry of healing and deliverance to the whole person spirit, soul and body. Its focus is multicultural with an emphasis on teaching, preaching and life application of the "Word" of God.
Talented and gifted beyond the pulpit, Reverend Christopher has pursued her love for the Arts to include Radio, Television, Theater, and Film. She is a former student of the Actors Center and the New Freedom Theatre in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She has performed at The New Freedom Theatre, The South Camden Theatre Company in Camden, New Jersey, The Grand Opera House, The Wilmington Drama League and the old Three Little Bakers Dinner Theatre in Wilmington, Delaware.
Family is important to Reverend Christopher. She is the wife of Calvin H. Christopher, the mother of two daughters, Tiffany and Ashley and one son, Julian. She is also the very proud grandmother of Ryan Chase and Harper Sareace.
Reverend Christopher is a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., where she currently serves as the Chaplain of the Wilmington (DE) Alumnae Chapter. She also serves as the Treasurer for The Wilmington Delaware District Ministerium of the African Methodist Episcopal Church
Boldly and as an expert marksman, Reverend Christopher stands fearlessly as God’s secret arsenal and trumpeted voice for this end time. Determined to free the lost and empower the Body of Christ, her heart’s desire is to be a blessing to the world.
Her favorite saying is “I don’t serve NO CHUMP CHANGE GOD!”
